About Olive

Once upon a time, on a flight to Texas, Olive Knight realized something that she has been following ever since. A certainty that her assignment was to be a cheerleader for women who had something real to say and no idea how to say it.

It was not a surprise, exactly. Olive has been a reader and a writer her whole life, drawn to words the way some people are drawn to music. She wrote as a teenager for the fun of it, to get her vivid imagination into words. As life deepened the writing deepened with it, moving through hard seasons and honest reckonings, until she understood why the words kept coming. Someone out there needed to hear what she had been writing, and that realization gave her the courage to put her words into the world.

After her first book found its readers, women kept coming to her saying the same thing, almost word for word: I always wanted to write a book. She heard it enough times to understand that what came naturally to her was a genuine barrier for others. It was not because they lacked the story but because no one had ever shown them the way through. So she became that person.

A Master of Library Science and years of administrative work in church and beyond developed her deep love of bringing order to chaos and the practical ability to walk someone through a process without losing them along the way. She has planned retreats, led workshops, guided women from scattered ideas to finished books, and somewhere in all of it built something she is genuinely proud of.

A Jamaican gem now living south of Boston, Olive shares her home with her husband Alphonse. She is a proud mother to Michael and Amber, a doting grandmother to Duane, Sunesis, and Michaela, and a lover of travel for all the right reasons: the people, the food, the way a new place reminds you the world is wider than your corner of it.

Her faith is the ground from which everything else grows.

A Note on Faith and Values

Our work is grounded in integrity, care, and respect for each woman’s story. For many women, faith plays a role in their work, the choices they make,  and the conversations that unfold along the way, but it is not assumed. What matters most is honoring the work and the woman behind it.
